Steven May
Trainer
As a CBT trainer, Steven has a passion to put biblical theology on the bottom shelf, where anyone can reach it. As the Associate Pastor at First Baptist Church, Chesnee, SC, he teaches students the Bible and is working to expand Bible literacy in South Carolina by promoting CBT.
Steven is equipped for ministry in many ways. He served with the Baptist Collegiate Ministry at the University of Memphis for three years, during which time he had the privilege of befriending and sharing the gospel with a Japanese exchange student, who accepted Christ before returning to Japan. Steven also served two summers in San Diego as a church planting intern, as well as interning at Kirby Woods Baptist Church in Memphis, TN, and Kenwood Baptist Church in Louisville, KY. He has a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Memphis, and a Master of Divinity from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Steven sees his biggest career accomplishment to date as helping Chestnee First Baptist to pursue Bible literacy by implementing CBT churchwide. Other notable accomplishments include being adopted by a cat named Calvin, wearing only flip-flops and shorts all through high school, regardless of the weather, and playing Fortnite with the students at his church to connect with them.
