Faith Attracts Opposition

Stephen is described twice as a man "full of faith" (Acts 6:5, 8). His is not a quiet faith, but a robust and public faith, "among the people" (6:8). He speaks with such Spirit-infused wisdom that it angers the religious establishment, and they secretly induce men to slander Stephen, try him before the religious counsel, and stone him.
